How to connect Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion and Slack to Mark?

Connect your files and team tools so Mark can import your content, read your docs and send finished ads where your team works.

Written by Nilo

Connectors let Mark work with the tools your team already uses. Mark can read files from Google Drive and Dropbox and use them in your ads, save finished ads back to them, read and create Notion pages, and read and post in Slack.

Who can use it

Anyone who can use Mark can connect Google Drive, Dropbox and Notion. Only the workspace owner can connect Slack.

Where to find it

  • Mark sidebar > Connectors. Connectors are grouped by type: Content & files (Google Drive, Dropbox), Communication (Slack), Knowledge (Notion).

  • Also in Settings > Integration.

How to use it

  1. Open Mark and click Connectors in the sidebar.

  2. Click Connect next to the tool and sign in to allow access.

  3. For Google Drive, finish by sharing a folder with Mark: click + Folder (or Shared folders) and then Share a folder, pick the folder, then share it in Google Drive with the account address shown (use the copy button). Arcads detects the share automatically and shows "Mark can read this folder."

  4. Ask Mark in the chat, for example "Use the clips in my Drive folder", "Save these ads to my Dropbox", "Read our brand guidelines in Notion" or "Post this video to #creative".

  5. To remove access, click Disconnect on the connector. For Drive folders, open Shared folders and click the X next to a folder to make Mark forget it.

Options

  • Google Drive: Mark browses and searches the folders you shared with it. It can also import a single Google Doc, Sheet, Slides or file from a pasted link. It imports videos, images, audio and documents, uses them in ads, and can add a folder as footage for your brand's Library. On request it uploads finished ads to your Drive, by default into an "Arcads" folder.

  • Dropbox: Mark browses and searches your Dropbox, imports files, can add a folder as footage for your brand, and on request uploads finished ads, by default into an "/Arcads" folder.

  • Notion: Mark lists the pages and databases you shared, reads them, and creates new private pages, including with your generated images and videos attached.

  • Slack: Mark lists channels, reads recent messages, searches your Slack for context, and posts messages and finished files to a channel. You can also talk to Mark in Slack.

Credits

Connecting a tool is free. Reading, importing or exporting files does not cost credits on its own. What Mark generates and your chats with Mark use their normal credits.

Where it works

Mark in the Arcads web app. Mark also works in Slack once Slack is connected. Workflows can also send results to Google Drive or Dropbox.

Limitations

  • Google Drive: connecting your account alone is not enough. Mark can read only the folders shared with its account.

  • Notion: Mark creates new pages but cannot edit existing ones. It sees only the pages and databases you allowed when connecting.

  • Slack: only the workspace owner can connect it. To let Mark post in a private channel, invite the Arcads app there with /invite @Arcads.

  • Drive and Dropbox searches match file and folder names. To find footage by what is in the clips, add the folder as footage and ask Mark.
