Edit an existing 3 to 30 second video with a prompt: swap the person or product or restyle a scene, keeping its shots and motion.

Written by Nilo

Kling 4.0 - Video edit changes a video you already have with a text prompt. Swap the person or the product, or restyle a scene, while the shots and motion of the original carry over.

Who can use it

Available to all users.

Where to find it

Studio > Tools > Kling 4.0 - Video edit

How to use it

  1. Open Studio and choose the Tools composer.

  2. Add the video you want to edit. It must be 3 to 30 seconds long and at least 700 px on each side.

  3. Optionally add reference images, or further videos, for what replaces or is brought into your video.

  4. Write your prompt, for example "replace the woman in @Video1 with the woman in @Image1".

  5. Choose the resolution, check the credit cost on the Generate button, then click Generate.

Options

  • Resolution: 720p or 1080p.

  • Duration: 3 to 30 seconds. If you leave it out, the edited clip keeps the length of your video.

  • Reference images, named @Image1, @Image2 and so on in your prompt.

  • Further videos, named @Video2, @Video3 and so on, to copy a motion, a person or a scene into your video. All videos together stay under 30 seconds.

Credits

Credit costs here are the standard rates. The Generate button in the app shows what each generation costs on your account.
