How to schedule routines with Mark?

Set Mark to run a prompt on a schedule (weekly, daily or every few hours) and find each run in your Routines sessions folder.

Written by Nilo

A routine is a prompt Mark runs on its own on a schedule, for example a weekly recap of your ad performance or a fresh batch of hooks every morning. Each run opens a new session that you can read afterwards.

Who can use it

Anyone who can use Mark. Routines are available once Mark has finished setting up your brand. If you skip the onboarding, it won't be usable. Routines belong to a brand.

Where to find it

Mark sidebar > Routines. Each run appears as a session in the Routines sessions folder.

How to use it

  1. Open Mark, pick your brand and click Routines in the sidebar.

  2. Click Create routine.

  3. Give it a Name and write the Prompt: what Mark should do on each run.

  4. Optionally add Attachments such as images or videos Mark should use each time.

  5. Choose a Schedule: Weekly (pick the day), Daily (pick the time of day) or Every X hours (1 to 23 hours).

  6. Click Create.

  7. Use the menu on a routine to Edit, Pause or Resume, Run Test Now, View last run or delete it.

You can also just ask Mark: "Every Monday, send me a recap of last week's ads." Mark can create, list, edit, pause, resume and delete routines from the chat.

Options

  • Name up to 100 characters. Prompt up to 10,000 characters.

  • Up to 20 attachments.

  • Times are shown in Paris time (Europe/Paris). Weekly routines run at 08:00 Paris time on the chosen day.

  • Last run status: Success, Partial, Failed, Skipped, No credits, Invalid.

Credits

Creating a routine is free. Each run uses credits like a normal Mark session: the chat plus anything it generates. If your workspace is low on credits, the run is skipped and marked "No credits".

Where it works

Mark in the Arcads web app. A routine can also post its results to Slack if Slack is connected.

Limitations

  • Up to 20 active routines per brand and 50 per workspace.

  • Each run makes up to 5 generations.

  • A routine pauses itself after 3 failed runs in a row.

  • Runs start within a few minutes of the scheduled time, not to the exact minute.

  • Routines don't publish posts or ads, because publishing always needs your approval.

  • You can't create sessions in, move sessions into, rename or delete the Routines sessions folder.
