Skills are ready-made recipes that shape what Mark, the Arcads AI agent, produces: a raw UGC shot, an organic carousel, a cloned static ad or hook, a video breakdown, a motion film or an animated ad. By default Mark uses a skill on its own whenever your request fits it. You can also pick a skill yourself, or switch off the ones you never want.
Who can use it
Anyone who can use Mark. Skills show up once Mark has finished setting up your brand. If you skip onboarding, it won't appear. Whether a skill is on or off is saved separately for each brand.
Where to find it
Mark sidebar > Skills. This opens Explore skills, a gallery of every skill with a preview video.
In the message box: click + > Skills.
In the message box: type /, then the start of the skill name.
How to use it
Open Mark and pick your brand.
Open Skills from the sidebar, or type / in the message box.
Hover a skill to see its preview, then click Use skill, or pick it from the list. The skill is added to your message and shows In prompt.
Describe what you want and send. Mark follows the skill's steps and asks you for anything it is missing.
To stop Mark using a skill on its own for this brand, open Skills and turn off the Auto switch on that skill's card. Turn it back on any time.
Options
Raw UGC shot
Organic carousel
Clone static ad: adapts a static ad you like to your product.
Clone hook: adapts the hook of a reference video to your brand.
Video breakdown: breaks down a video you attach, or one from an Instagram or TikTok link.
Motion film: a short motion-design film, such as a launch video, feature announcement or kinetic typography. You pick a motion style from a grid of demo films. Mark uses your brand colors, fonts and logo from brand memory and agrees the on-screen words with you before generating (up to 4 short lines). Length is 4 to 30 seconds, in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9.
Animation Studio: a complete animated product ad. You pick a template: Pixar, Anime, Cartoon, Retro, Kawaii, Clay, then the product if your brand has several. Mark writes a script from your brand memory, and you approve it before anything is made. If your story needs a recurring character, you also approve a character sheet. Then Mark makes the video. Length is 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds.
Auto switch: On means Mark uses the skill when your request fits. Off means it is never used unless you pick it yourself.
Credits
Using or switching a skill is free. What the skill generates costs its normal credits, the same as when Mark generates anything else, and chats with Mark use credits as usual. Motion film and Animation Studio make videos, so their cost depends on the length and model used.
Where it works
Mark in the Arcads web app. The Arcads skills for Claude used with the Arcads MCP are a separate set.
Limitations
Skills appear only after Mark has set up your brand (if you did not skip onboarding)
The Auto switch is per brand. Turning a skill off for one brand leaves it on for your other brands.
Animation Studio and Motion film always ask you to choose a template or style first.
Motion film works best with a logo and product images that contain no other text.
